As a kid, I was a self-proclaimed opera prodigy. Like any good parents, mine didn’t deter my need to belt it out. Both your ears and mine should be thankful I dreamed up a different way to use my voice. Now I use it to speak up, to tell stories, and hopefully, one day, to make a difference.
